Easy Vegetarian Wraps
Here is a great option for a healthy snack that is also very quick and easy to prepare.
Ingredients:
- 2 to 3 tortillas – any type: original (flour), whole wheat or other
- Salad leaves: Head lettuce (iceberg lettuce), Romaine lettuce, Garden Salad Mix or Spring Salad Mix
- Pickled hot pepper rings
- Red onion cut into strips
- Green bell pepper cut into thin strips
- Red bell pepper cut into thin strips
- Yellow or orange bell pepper cut into thin strips
- Tomato, cut into thin slices
- Optional: carrot cut into thin strips
- Mozzarella, cheddar or other type of cheese – cut into strips
- Mayonnaise
- Salad dressing
Directions:
- Place each tortilla sheet on a plate or flat surface.
- Spread some mayonnaise on half of the tortilla.
- Add a small portion of salad leaves.
- Spread salad dressing and add a small portion of onion, bell peppers, hot pepper rings and cheese.
- Wrap each tortilla.
Total Time / Yield:
- 15-20minutes / 1 serving
Notes, Tips & Tricks:
- Don’t add too many ingredients to the tortillas, otherwise it will be difficult to wrap them.
- Head lettuce (iceberg lettuce) makes the wraps much tastier.
