Florentine Style Breaded Stuffed Steak
This recipe is a fancy version of Milanese steak. Florentine steak is stuffed before being breaded and fried, while Milanese steak is left unfilled.
Ingredients:
- 6 thick steak
- 200g ham, sliced
- 200g mozzarella cheese, sliced
- 2 tomatoes cut into thin slices
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Breadcrumbs to coat
- Garlic, salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Directions:
- Cut the steaks in half, but keeping the two parts still attached on one side. If necessary, “hammer” them to become thinner.

- Dip each piece into the beaten eggs. Coat them with breadcrumbs and fry in hot oil until golden brown.
- Remove the toothpicks and serve immediately.
Total Time / Yield:
- About 30-40 minutes / 6 servings
