Brigadeiros, besides being easy to make, are perfect for many occasions, including when you feel like eating something sweet.

Ingredients:

  • 1 and ½ cup of sweet condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 4 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Chocolate sprinkles
  • Butter for greasing  
  • Paper baking cups

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan, add the condensed milk, butter and chocolate. Mix everything. Cook over medium to low heat stirring constantly, until detached from the bottom of the pan.
  2. Remove it from heat, pour into a glass plate or bowl greased with butter and let cool.
  3. Place the chocolate sprinkles on a plate. With the hands greased with some butter, make small balls (about 2,5 or 3 cm of diameter each) and roll 4 or 6 balls at a time over the chocolate sprinkles.
  4. Place each ball in a small paper baking cup before serving.

Total Time / Yield:

  • About 40 minutes to 1 hour / 15-30 balls (It depends on the size of the balls)

Notes, Tips & Tricks:

  • For an extra special flavor, fill each ball with raisins (without seeds) previously soaked in rum.
