Chocolate Mousse
This is a simple, light dessert with an intense chocolate flavor.
Ingredients:
- 200g dark chocolate (unsweetened chocolate), in small pieces
- 250ml of cold heavy cream
- 4 eggs (yolks and whites separated)
- 1 can of condensed milk
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 3 tablespoons of chocolate powder
Directions:
- In a saucepan add the condensed milk, butter (or margarine), chocolate powder and bring to a boil quickly.
- Remove from heat and add the dark chocolate, stirring so that it melts.
- Add the heavy cream and stir gently until the white disappears. Set aside.
- In a bowl, beat the egg whites until very stiff. Add the egg yolks (one by one) and finally the sugar.
- Add the chocolate mixture and stir slowly.
- Pour the whole mixture into a glass bowl and place in the freezer.
- Serve with whipping cream and garnish with chocolate syrup and/or red fruits.
