Easy Gelatin Dessert
This recipe is a quick dessert option and also a way to enhance the flavor of traditional gelatin.
Ingredients:
- 1 box of gelatin powder, flavor of your choice (for this recipe it was used gelatin grape flavor)
- 1 cup (+ / – 240ml) of milk
- 1 cup (+ / – 240ml) of coconut milk
Directions:
- In a saucepan boil just a cup of milk and then remove from heat. Add the powdered gelatin flavor of your choice and stir quickly to dissolve everything.
- Then add the coconut milk. Stir a little more until all incorporated.
- Transfer mixture to a glass baking dish and refrigerate to harden.
- Serve with the syrup of your choice.
Total Time / Yield:
- About 3 hours (includes the time for gelatin to harden in the fridge) / 4 servings
Notes, Tips & Tricks:
- If the package of coconut milk has less than a cup (or 240ml), add a little of the other milk to reach the required amount.
- If you invert the order of the “milks” (boil the coconut milk first and then add the other milk), it probably won’t change the result.
