Passion Fruit Dessert
This is a simple dessert recipe that is also very tasty and can impress your guests with its sophisticated look.
Ingredients for the pudding:
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can (use the can of condensed milk as a measure) of heavy cream
- 1 can (use the can of condensed milk as a measure) passion fruit juice (unsweetened)
- 2 small packet (sachets) of gelatin powder, unflavored
- 1 can (use the can of condensed milk as a measure) milk
Ingredients for the syrup:
- 1 cup passion fruit pulp with seeds
- 1/2 cup sugar (or more if you like sweeter)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 cup water
Directions for the pudding:
- Boil the milk and add the gelatin. Stir to dissolve it.
- In a blender, place the condensed milk, heavy cream, passion fruit juice and the milk with the dissolved gelatin. Blend on full power for 2 or 3 minutes.
- Place the mixture in a pudding pan and let in the fridge until thoroughly consistent.
Directions for the syrup:
- In a saucepan, dilute cornstarch in water and add to the other ingredients. Cook stirring until the syrup is thick and shiny.
- It will be ready when it has a consistency of soft jelly but remember that when it cools, the syrup will be thicker.
- Remove pudding from pan and spread the syrup over the top before serving.

Notes, Tips & Tricks:
- The longer you let the pudding acquire a firmer consistency, the better. 4 hours or more would be ideal.
