Potatoes In Tomato Sauce And Cheese – Potato Lasagna
This potato recipe, besides being delicious, is very easy.
Ingredients:
- 4-6 large potatoes
- Pasta sauce
- Grated mozzarella cheese or in slices
- Oregano to taste for sprinkling
- Butter for greasing baking sheet or ovenproof dish
- Olive oil for drizzling
- Optional: salt to taste (for sprinkling over each potato layer)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 °F (180 °C).
- Peel the potatoes and cut into thin slices.
- In a baking sheet or ovenproof dish greased with butter, add and spread some pasta sauce on the bottom. Then add a layer of sliced potatoes. (Optional: sprinkle a little salt on each layer of potatoes.)
- Over the layer of potatoes, spread some pasta sauce and mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat these steps until the last layer of potatoes, pasta sauce and mozzarella cheese.
- Over the last layer, sprinkle with oregano and drizzle with a little olive oil.
- Bake for about 30 to 40 minutes or until browning (gratinating).

- About 1 hour / 4-6 servings
