Easy Gelatin Dessert

This recipe is a quick dessert option and also a way to enhance the flavor of traditional gelatin.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of gelatin powder, flavor of your choice (for this recipe it was used gelatin grape flavor)
  • 1 cup (+ / – 240ml) of milk
  • 1 cup (+ / – 240ml) of coconut milk

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan boil just a cup of milk and then remove from heat. Add the powdered gelatin flavor of your choice and stir quickly to dissolve everything.
  2. Then add the coconut milk. Stir a little more until all incorporated.
  3. Transfer mixture to a glass baking dish and refrigerate to harden.
  4. Serve with the syrup of your choice.

Total Time / Yield:

  • About 3 hours (includes the time for gelatin to harden in the fridge) / 4 servings

Notes, Tips & Tricks:

  1. If the package of coconut milk has less than a cup (or 240ml), add a little of the other milk to reach the required amount.
  2. If you invert the order of the “milks” (boil the coconut milk first and then add the other milk), it probably won’t change the result.
