Chocolate Mousse

This is a simple, light dessert with an intense chocolate flavor.

Ingredients:

  • 200g dark chocolate (unsweetened chocolate), in small pieces
  • 250ml of cold heavy cream
  • 4 eggs (yolks and whites separated)
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 3 tablespoons of chocolate powder

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan add the condensed milk, butter (or margarine), chocolate powder and bring to a boil quickly.
  2. Remove from heat and add the dark chocolate, stirring so that it melts.
  3. Add the heavy cream and stir gently until the white disappears. Set aside.
  4. In a bowl, beat the egg whites until very stiff. Add the egg yolks (one by one) and finally the sugar.
  5. Add the chocolate mixture and stir slowly.
  6. Pour the whole mixture into a glass bowl and place in the freezer.
  7. Serve with whipping cream and garnish with chocolate syrup and/or red fruits.

  • About 30-40minutes / 5-6 servings
