Homemade Mayonnaise

Homemade mayonnaise, besides being healthier, can also be a good option when you don’t have mayonnaise at home.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of juice from a lime
  • 2 egg yolks
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup olive oil

Directions:

  1. Mix in blender lemon juice, egg yolks, salt and pepper. Then, with the blender still on, add the olive oil slowly.
  2. When finished, you will have a creamy mixture.
  3. Pour the mixture into a bowl, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate.

Total Time / Yield:

  • About 10-15 minutes / 2 cups
